Chris Horses - Sad Songs & Dark Beer (Vinyl LP)

“Sad Songs & Dark Beer” is the first solo record by the Venetian singer-songwriter Chris Horses (aka Cristian Secco).

After years of experimentations and explorations in a number of different musical styles (Rock, Blues, Country, Heavy Metal, Alternative and so on), we go back to the roots where the intimate and Introspective soul of the author is firmly anchored: the great Americana Music. The passion for the “Outlaw” sound of Waylon & Willie, the timeless class of the purest songwriting of Neil Young and the more recent Jason Isbell and Chris’ melancholic self-irony (never so much hidden during the years) are blending together in this new EP totally recorded at “Seagull Records” (Chris Horses’ home studio) with the help of Daniele Castagnino (mix & master - who already worked in the previous singles “Orange Slice” and “Mother’s Milk”). This record has involved the newborn line-up “The Slow Smoke”, featuring Gianluca Zanibellato (banjo, electric guitar and backing vocals), Andrea Vanacore (bass) and Federico Patarnello (drums), with the special collaboration of some special guests: Lorenza Bano (fiddle and accordion), Nicola Righele (harp), Stefano Dal Compare (backing vocals), Gianni Bordin (percussions), Emanuele Marchiori (piano) and the Texan singer-songwriter Keegan McInroe (guest vocals on “Waiting For The Night”).
